TimeView can, in all its simplicity, be described as a strategic platform for an accounting business which handles registration of information about the company’s customers, handles documents, structures tasks etc., and ties the other IT systems of the company together by integrating across platforms, among these Outlook’s inbox and calendar. The following pages of this document will describe the functionality in more detail.

TimeView is developed in familiar Microsoft technologies, among other things it will be closely con-nected with Outlook, enabling the full integration of inbox and calendar in Outlook and TimeView’s docu-ment management system. All programming is done on the .Net platform and all data will be archived in a known database format. The system is multi-language, and available in English and Danish - managed pr. user.

TimeView contains:

  • Customers, collaboration partners and persons
    • Specification of relation between customers and persons, customers and other companies or associates and/or customers.
  • Document management
    • Archiving Outlook mail, faxes, Word and Excel documents, as well as all other files, such as PDF documents.
    • Archiving Outlook calendar appointments.
    • Journal categories arranged according to own structure (e.g. according to index of task ar-chives and customer registration information).
  • Task management and resource management
    • Task planning (allocated period and employees in hours).
    • Following up on current tasks with automatic registration of percentage of work completed based on registered hours.
    • Rolling approved tasks for the next season.
  • Time registration
    • Automatic registration of the time of actions in connection with sending and receiving mails, writing of letters etc.
    • Time registration based on Outlook calendar appointments.
    • Registration of time of customer, task (and thus case and case year), kinds of tasks (direct, as well as indirect with internal use of time).
  • Especially for accountants, integration with the current IT-tools that an accountancy company uses is possible; this means that registration of customers does not have to be done more than once. The following applications and systems can be integrated:

TimeView is accessed through a hosted environment or through a central server environment placed at the accounting company. TimeView will in all circumstances be accessed through a terminal based environment or through a normal client/server environment – that is to say, it can be accessed over the internet from a home work place with direct access to the environment of the accountant’s clients, or through a more common environment with local programs and data on the server.
